A big thank you to everyone at the Attis Arena for their hospitality. Alongside the six goals, our highlights were meeting the players in the dressing room and going pitchside to present ‘man of the match’ to our choice, Callum Roberts.

We know it isn't as exciting as 1st January, but as of today, we have moved into the 2024/2025 Tax Year.

This also means that 2023/2024 Self-Assessment Tax Returns can be prepared and submitted, for the financial year up to 5 April 2024.

How quickly (or not very quickly) will we receive your paperwork this year? 🤣

Thank you Macmillan Cancer Support for our certificate in the post this morning and a big thank you to everyone who contributed to our Macmillan Coffee Morning last month. We raised a total of £113.45 💚☕.

In the lead up to Remembrance Day, we are supporting the Royal British Legion by selling Poppies in our Reception Area.

If you are passing our office and would like to wear a poppy in exchange for a donation, our doors are open between 8.45am and 5.15pm.

Poppies will be available up to and including Friday 10th November 2023.

Since joining us in 2018, Morgan has progressed from AAT Trainee to part-qualified ACCA Accountant, and is continuing to study to be a Chartered Certified Accountant.

Keep up the hard work Morgan, just a few more exams to go!

We are looking for an AAT Qualified or ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified Accountant. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience working in an Accountancy Practice and will be confident in preparing the following: Year-End and Periodic Management Accounts, VAT Returns, Bookkeeping using a range of software packages, Self-Assessment Tax returns and computations and Payroll.

Flexible working requests will be considered

Salary is negotiable, based on experience.

Our final fundraising total from our 'It's A Knockout!' event has been calculated - Team ATA managed to raise a fantastic £1,540.37, exceeding our £1,000 target! 🥊🏆

Today, Andrew Thomas Accountancy turns 16!

10 Years at ATA! 

Callum has been with us for a whole decade this year and grown from a boy to a man as his headshots show!

He has progressed from a trainee to fully qualified Chartered Certified Accountant, as well as taking on the role of VAT Manager. He is the person responsible for making sure your VAT Returns are submitted on time!

You couldn't meet a harder working person and we'd be lost without him - we're sure there are a lot of clients on our socials who appreciate Callum just as much as we do too.

Another milestone passed for one of our team, Lisa has been our Payroll Manager for 10 years this year! 😲 🎉

Lisa is a qualified Payroll Technician and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP). Every single one of our payroll clients receive top quality service from Lisa - the number of emails this lady sends in a week is crazy!
Lisa is our payroll whizz, we are lucky to have her and we're grateful she hasn't gotten sick of us just yet!

Team ATA completed 'It's A Knockout' on Friday evening, raising an incredible £1,370 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice & Healthcare! We came away with aches, pains, bruises and friction burns, but we laughed our way through the course, impressively finished last and was awarded the wooden spoon for participation! 🤣🥄

A big thank you to everyone who donated and/or came to support us on the day - we couldn't have done it without you all and we were one of the top fundraising teams!❤️

Another huge thank you to Sally at Upper Crust Scunthorpe, for stepping in last minute to replace an injured James R, with Sophie's other half Dan making up the numbers to complete our team of 10!

In an attempt to prove that Accountants aren't boring, make a fool out of ourselves in the process and raise some money for a fantastic cause, we are excited to announce that we will be taking part in Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Team 's 'It's a Knockout' event in June 2023. We will be challenging ourselves to overcome a series of obstacles just like in the original TV show!

We would love to raise as much money as possible for this amazing local charity. Lindsey Lodge has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses, for the past 30 years.

Our team's fundraising goal is £1,000, so please consider helping us reach this. Whether this be by donating yourself or sharing our posts and page, we'd appreciate your support in any way you can!

We'd like to introduce our newest team member, Helen. She has joined us as our Accounts Manager and we are excited to have her on board!

With 9 years of accounting experience, both in practice and industry, Helen is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and her breadth of experience benefits our clients and the rest of the team alike. Helen is kept busy outside of work with her two young daughters and enjoys family time with her girls and husband.

Can you believe it?! Our Senior Accountant Laura has been a part of Andrew Thomas Accountancy for 10 years this week!

Laura is our resident expert when it comes to more complicated areas of Corporate Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and so much more. We are very lucky to have her!

James has joined us during our busiest time of the year, as our new Accountancy/ Payroll Apprentice. He comes to us with a Master's degree in Accountancy & Finance, ready to start his career as an accountant!
