What does an Accountant actually do?

An accountant can help individuals and businesses manage their financial records, prepare tax returns, analyse financial data, and provide financial advice to optimise financial performance and compliance with regulations.

Do I need an Accountant?

While it’s not a legal requirement to have an accountant, it is highly recommended, especially for a business. An accountant can help to navigate complex tax laws and regulations, ensure that your financial records are accurate and up to date, and provide valuable advice and guidance.

What area do you specialise in?

We work with a variety of VAT Registered and non-VAT Registered Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships, as well as many individuals who are Self Employed or have income that is required to be declared on a tax return.

What qualifications and experience do your accountants have?

While many accountants possess skills and knowledge in their field, Andrew Thomas Accountancy is ACCA-accredited. This means we are equipped with the latest industry knowledge and best practices, enabling us to provide top-notch financial services and advice. We also have over 15 years’ experience as an accounting practice.

How much does an Accountant cost?

Our fee structure is based on the complexity of the services provided and the time taken to complete the work requested. We try to be as transparent as possibly with our pricing, and we are happy to review any potential client records to provide a fee estimate before any work is undertaken.

How often do I need to meet with my Accountant?

As often as you like! We only see some clients once a year to discuss their accounting year end, or quarterly to discuss VAT returns, however we are always available to discuss any queries you may have, over the phone or in person, all year round.

What makes your accounting firm unique?

Andrew Thomas Accountancy are committed to providing tailored services and personalised solutions to fit your requirements. We pride ourselves on open communication, trust and working collaboratively with our clients.
